Sweet Baby Girl!

I had the pleasure of getting a few quick snaps of my cousin's little girl. We didn't catch her early enough for that oh so sleepy newborn stage, but I still managed to get a few pics of Miss Gracie. I just LOVE her hair! So adorable! Sorry it took me so long to get these up here! Things are WAY hectic around here!

Military Family| Lake Charles, LA Family Photographer

This sweet family contacted me, wanting to get some family pictures with Dad before he deploys. It was such an honor to do this for them! I really enjoyed spending time with them at DREW PARK. I have so many favorites from this session, but I can't post them ALL here! LOL!


This young lady was a joy to photograph! I told her I might just have to borrow her for awhile, lol. She had such a great time posing for me! Isn't she gorgeous!

This handsome guy was such a nice young man. So polite!

What to wear for your session | Lake Charles Family Portrait Photography

I get questions all the time about what to wear, so I thought I'd make a post to give you some ideas. Lots of people envision white shirts and jeans. Let's get past that! Color is wonderful! Use it! One thing to keep in mind is to coordinate your family colors. Don't be afraid to mix them up, but keep in mind not to clash. Take a look at a few clothing websites like Old Navy or Gap for ideas. They usually come out with new lines every few months. These lines are usually geared to coordinate family outfits together, so be sure to look at girls, boys, babies, women, men, etc to get ideas. Do you need to go out and buy new outfits? You could, but it's not necessary. Just take a look and get ideas of what goes together. Casual is best! Khakis or jeans are usually a great idea for boys and dads. Something similar for girls and moms would be great, but don't be afraid to put in a skirt or dress in the mix there. Love Converse for kids and dads! Keep in mind that your shoes WILL show sometimes, so make sure they're something you don't mind looking at for years to come. Here's a few ideas I picked up from Gap.com.

8 month old- In home session | Lake Charles Baby Photographer

This little one is such a cutie! She's very serious, just like her adorable big brother, but she did give me a smile here and there. I love doing in-home location sessions! Babies are much more comfortable and at ease in their own environment. The natural light in their living room is just yummy! Perfect for family portraits at home! Here's a few of my faves from this baby session.

I don't know why, but this is actually one of my favorites! Love the eyelashes, serious concentration, everything! The rug in the family's home is yummy! I might just have to get me one...


We discovered near the end of the session that she adored the basket and flowers! She was quite content to sit in there. I think Mom secretly wanted to keep it, lol.

Christmas Baby!

This little guy is just so precious! Despite a few little messes, lol, I was able to get quite a few adorable pics of this little one.

Happy New Year!

Wow, is it really 2010? Where has the time gone? Our lives have been so busy lately. We sold our house, packed up, and moved all in during the same week that our little guy was in the hospital. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas just flew by.
As the new year approaches, we have so many new things going on in our family. Our biggest adventure of the year is building a house. This will be our second house to build. We're excited, but it's going to be a lot of work! I'll try to post pics now and then. We'll be doing a lot of the work ourselves to save money.
I'm sharing a few family pics, which I rarely do. My brother is leaving for Iraq soon. We said our goodbyes last week. I'm so proud of myself. I haven't even cried....yet, lol. Keep him and his son in your prayers, please. I know this is going to be most difficult on them. We took a few pics on Christmas day.

The Bradley Five, 20 yrs of having kids for my parents. And no. We will not be having kids for 20 yrs, lol. Six in 10 yrs is plenty for us.


The whole gang! 5 kids, 2 son-in-laws, 9 grandkids... and 6 of them are our kids, lol. Somehow, I don't think any of my siblings are going to catch up with that number. The cute litte boy in blue at the bottom and the baby girl are my sister's two adorable kiddos, then, my other nephew at the top left, the rest are ours- 2 girls, 4 boys. I love having a big family. We're all really close, and our kids are more like siblings. They just love each other to pieces!
